Stand Your Ground

Discussion post: Read the article by Chamlin and Krajewski (2016). One form of target-hardening or deterrence for burglars is the use of “stand your ground laws.” What are “stand your ground” laws (or “castle doctrine”)? Have they been shown to reduce victimization? These laws can be controversial, why? Do you agree with the premise of “standing your ground”?
