A Policy Brief is a concise and neutral summary of a particular issue and/or related policy. The goal is to evaluate policy options, provide recommendations, educate legislators and stakeholders and ultimately affect change.
This assignment will be worked on throughout the duration of the course and includes several, interrelated, and graded pieces. Each piece builds upon and/or is related to the preceding pieces.

Part A – Policy SelectionTo begin the project, you must first select a legislative policy. The policy must be:Related to issues of social and/or economic justice
Relevant to your community, state or work
About a public problem, one that may or already does affect, or is affected by, government
Approved by your instructor – feedback, and approval or not, will be given before continuing
